Taking photo tours on Android: Fotoura

Fotoura is an tour guide app for viewing and taking photo tours. These tours can be either viewed on your phone or taken in the real world.

Fotoura contains a choice of Tours - some of which are galleries of photos taken by a photographer, or Geo Tours, which have specific locations you can actually visit stop by stop, with the help of Fotoura as a Tour Guide.

These Geo Tours also invite you to take photos at each of the locations and upload your photos to the Fotoura site where they will be published, showing the locations where you took the images.

Some of the tours are photography competitions, which challenge you to take a photo at each tour stop and upload it to Fotoura for a chance to win a prize. If you use your phone camera you can upload your photos from the app itself, or if you use a separate camera you can upload your photos via the Fotoura website.

Fotoura Launch version
At the moment, our focus is on supporting the launch of the London Street Photography Festival, which runs from the 1st to the 31st July. From August onwards we are dedicated to improving the range of features of the app and launch the next range of tours.

The next version of Fotoura
The next version will allow you to create or record your own tours on your phone and will give you the ability to publish & share them with your friends or other Fotoura users.

We've got loads of new tours in the pipeline, from photography lessons to country walks, from bike rides to recipes. There are also a lot more exhibition tours being developed so you'll be able to browse exhibitions from the comfort of your phone.
For more instructions on how to use the Fotoura app, click the right arrow to go to the next stop.

For more information, take a look at the Fotoura.com website.

TouchRetouch Free

TouchRetouch Free is an award-winning photo editor that allows you to remove unwanted content or objects from any photo, using just your finger and your phone. Mark the items you want taken out of the snapshot and hit ‘Go’. That’s all there is to it. Photo editing has never been so quick, easy and convenient.

You recently got married on a beautiful Caribbean beach. Everything was so perfect. Luckily, you have a lot of memorable snapshots of the crystalline water and white sand backdrop of the ceremony, you and your new spouse silhouetted in the sunset, your guests under a palm tree, that nude sunbather that somehow got included in a shot taken during the exchanging of vows. Yikes! Before showing your mom those photos, take a minute to remove that accidental guest from an otherwise great picture. Open your TouchRetouch app. Using your finger, select the Brush or Lasso tool to mark what you don’t want in the shot, then hit the ‘Go’ button. Okay, you’re done and it’s now safe to share your picture-perfect memories with everybody.

TouchRetouch Free isn’t just for exotic or wedding photo touch-ups, of course. Use this easy yet ingenious application on any photo, newly snapped on your phone or taken from your gallery. Remove those wires that are in the way of an otherwise wonderful view, take banners off of buildings, get rid of people, eliminate spots and other imperfections. All without distorting the final image.

You can even have a little fun with TouchRetouch Free. Take away the bicycle from under your brother and it looks like he’s cycling in mid-air. You can make it look like people are flying, jumping or posed oddly, by removing whatever was supporting them.

Do everything mentioned here and more, in mere seconds without any special equipment.
Features:
* In-app video tutorials
* Unlimited Undo/Redo actions
* Smart image background recovery techniques
* No distortions in final image
* Easy to use interface
* Finger move hint

Download TouchRetouch Free now and start creating amazing or funny photos. It’s easy, fun and always ready to edit your images in a tap or two - no matter when, no matter where.

When you return from your trip, you can synchronize logged data with our desktop application and geotag photos taken by your camera. We support both amateur cameras (compact) and professional ones (DSLR). We also supports geotagging of various RAW formats (.NEF, CRW, CR2 and others). You can also export your logged data to well know and widely used GPX format - in this new version is NOT NECESSARY to upload data to remote server, you have your GPX files always prepared and can find them on phone memory card or you can send them from your phone by email.

few ideas how to use Geotagged photos:
- use Places function of modern viewing applications (Picasa, iPhoto, Aperture) to see your photos on map
- find your photos by place (for example find quickly all photos from New Your in your Photo library)
- upload Geotagged photos to social sites (flickr.locr or so)
