Coby launches tablets running on Android 4.0 OS

The market leader in the Consumer Electronics segment, Coby Electronics Corp. recently announced that the New Year will be marked with the launch of its latest, highly-anticipated, Internet tablets based on the Android 4.0 OS. Coby will be one of the first market players to come up with a significant number of tablets based on the latest OS from Android, the Ice Cream Sandwich.

 It will come out with 5 models that are expected to give its customers wide ranging sizes and styles to make their choices from and that too at the best possible prices from Q1 2012. The latest tablet collection from Coby is going to be brought to public vision for the first time at an International Show for Consumer Electronics to be held at Las Vegas from the 10th to 13th January, 2012.

VP – Marketing, Coby Electronics, Jodi Sally said that that the company was thrilled at the prospect of offering its latest Internet tablets powered by Android 4.0 to its consumers and was also happy at being one of the initial companies that would make such wide ranging tablets available with the latest OS the Ice Cream Sandwich.

The range that Coby is going to offer to the market includes the 7-inch MID7042, the 8-inch MID8042 (with an aspect ratio 4:3), the 9-inch MID9042, the 9.7-inch MID9742 and the 10-inch MID1042 (with an aspect ratio 4:3). The tablets are going to provide very fast access to numerous apps along with wireless internet browsing, 1GB RAM, memory expandable to 32GB along with a 1GHz processor. The features of the tablets have been streamlined by Coby to ensure that all core applications are addressed including internet browsing, playing games and the likes.
